Cole's Second Birthday

Cole celebrated his 2nd birthday with a pool party at the Springdale Country Club. He was so excited about all his new toys! He tried to take them all into the baby pool.

Cole's big gift from Mom and Dad and help from Nonna and Poppie is his 4-wheeler. He loved it!

VACATION* VACATION* VACATION

We took both boys on our first family vacation last week to San Antonio, Texas with my brother and his family. We had a great time. First we went to the Inter Space Caverns, then on to Sea World and ended up at the US largest water park. Cole played his little heart out at the water park. Sea World was a little too big for his age right now but mom and dad liked it. My oldest nephew turned seven so we had a birthday party for him at the Rain forest restaurant on the River walk.

Cole and Jackson were two peas in a pod. What ever Tristan did, Jack did and what ever Jack did Cole had to do. Poor Hayden, when he gets a little bigger does not stand a chance.

We had a wonderful time! Check out the pics. I think Jon and I need a little vacation from the vacation. We are off to Kansas City next weekend to celebrate our five year anniversary. I am so excited!

Well it's been a few weeks since I updated the site and so much has happened. First was Mother's Day. This year was extra special to me. For one now I have two beautiful little boys and two Hayden was dedicated at church on Mother's Day.

Also reflecting on Mother's Day, right after I updated the site about my G'ma visit to meet Hayden we found out she has cancer. Truth be told my heart is broke. I love my grandmother so very much. She has been such a ROCK in my life. I grew up just a stone throw from her and my G'pa. All my life I think I have taken for granted what a wonderful woman and Godly lady she is. I used to love to hear her each night pray for me and I can't count the number of times knowing she was praying for me got me through one trial or another. Well I am trying very hard not to cry right now so to end on a good note, here are the pictures from the dedication and Mother's day.

Meeting my Great Grandma!

On April 12th Hayden met his Great Grandma Sarratt for the first time. Hayden is my Grandma (AKA Melba) 19th Great Grand Child and I am her tenth Grandchild. My Grandma was a HUGE influence on me growing up. She taught me to cook, read the bible and pray. One of my favorite memories a little girl was staying at Grandma and Grandpa's old farm house and every night you could hear them praying for everyone in the family, all 5 kids, their spouse, their kids, our neighbors, people on town. But the thing about those prayers, I will never forget is the comfort of knowing each night, still to this day, my grandma is praying for me and my family. I pray my children, their children and their children can say the same about me.

This is my Aunt Brenda, my father's babysister, (my family claims we are two peas in a pod). She came in from California to bring my G'ma over to see Hayden.

This is my little cousin Jadyn, She is my cousin Susan's daughter, she is worth her weight in GOLD as a babysitter. Me and my brother will be fighting over her this summer at the family reunion. I am already lobbying her mother to let her stay a week with me this summer!!!

Cole off to his first day at Preschool

With the addition to Hayden to the family, Jon and I decided to change Cole's school to something a little more education driven and closer to our home. He has started a Christian Preschool on Wednesday's and Friday's. These are two pictures from his first day.

I cried! Cole (my future Governor) just walked right in like he owned the place. I think he gets that from his daddy! :)

Last week Springdale got it's first snow of the new year! Schools were closed so Daddy played hooky from work and took Cole out for some good old fashion fun in the snow. Cole loved it so much that now we have a little bit of a runny nose!

The future Tiger Woods Here!

Cole has always loved Golf, his favorite thing to do when he has been in the house all day is to go for a ride on Daddy's Beep Beep (aka the golf cart). The trouble is he always wants to play with Jon's really nice Golf Clubs and that gets Mommy in a lot of trouble with daddy. :) So Poppie to the rescue. Dave found Cole is very own club. He just hasn't figured out that the object is to hit the ball not carry the ball and the club around yet!

Mommies's Little Frog!

I just love these pictures of Hayden so I have to post them up! The one of him crossing his eyes just made me laugh. He was trying to follow my hand with his passie.

He is gaining weight each day, by my home scale he weighs in at 8 lbs. 3 oz. We don't go back to the doctor until our 2 month check up. So we will see then how much he has grown!

Becoming close brothers!

Cole and Hayden are getting to know each other more every day. Cole loves to kiss Hayden and now Hayden has started opening his mouth when Cole kisses him.

Cole has also become Mom's Big Helper! He thinks Hayden passie should always be in his mouth. I have to watch him real close! :)

Also, this week we took Hayden to meet his Papaw Train (Jon's Grandfather on Shay's side). Grandad was so excited he started taking pictures as soon as we walked into the restaurant.

Turning 30!!I tried to forget about it but I turned 30 this past Sunday! My father was here to visit and to see Hayden for the first time. Turning 30th has been a little hard on me.

Settling in at Home with Brother and Mom!

Well, we have been home for a little over a week now. Family and Friends have been coming by to see me. We have had tons of calls and e-mails. Here are a few shots of Hayden getting to know his family and getting lovin from brother Cole!

At long last!!!

Jon Hayden Palfreeman was born on December 31st, 2007 at 9:47 AM. He weighed 6 lbs. 9 oz. and was 18 1/2 inches long. Mom thinks he looks like a little Sarratt with Jon David's hairline, nose and eye shape.

Hayden had a little extra stay in the hospital for 5 days with breathing trouble but we have been home for over a week and things are going great. By mom's home scales he now weighs 7 lbs. Still a little guy but growing stronger every day. Here are some pics to check him out!

Cousins!

Uncle Lee and his family, Heidi, Tristan, Jackson and Addision came to see me right after Christmas. We threw a birthday party for Cousin Jackson's 3rd Birthday on December 29th at Chucky Cheese (what Jackson calls it)! We had a wonderful time! Mom is about to pop in 2days with Hayden!

Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree!!!!

Cole loved Christmas this year! We went to the mall on Christmas Eve to tell Santa all about wanting a Thomas Train Table for Christmas! He loved Santa!

So on Christmas morning look what he found!

WOW Dad!!! This is Cool!

Mommy was so proud of me! I ran the train just like PAPA TRAIN!

I also got lots of great things in the stocking from SANTA! I loved the coloring book with "HOT DOG" AKA Mickey Mouse on it!

My very favorit toy is my new Lighten McQueen Remote control car! I played it with dad until the batteries died. Never fear Poppie had more batteries for me!

Well to say it has been a long time since my last post is an understatement. So first things first to catch you up on Cole Greffen for the last year here goes.

Many things have changed in the Palfreeman and Sarratt Families over the year. First my brother Lee Sarratt has a new addition to the family, Miss Addision Faith Sarratt. Here is the lastest Picuture of her.

Dad and Pop left me at home with the girls but we watched it on TV. Dad claims we lost because Mitch Mustage did not play until the 4th quarter. :)

Cole is getting so BIG! At his 2 month check up on Aug 22nd, 2006. He weighed 14 lbs. and 9 oz. Here is sitting in his Bumbo seat.

More from the Road Trip:

Nonna had the coolest toy! Cole played with it for hours. We tried to "borrow it" but the other cousins like it as well. Maybe next we go down it will find its way to our suitcase. :)

OUR FIRST ROAD TRIP- RUSSELLVILLE TO SEE NONNA AND POP

This is Jon's Grandfather Clyde Griffing, Cole is named after him. We just changed the spelling a little. Clyde worked on the Railroad all his life in McGhee, AR. So when Caleb, Jon's newhew was little and trying to learn all the Papa, he nicknamed Clyde "Papa Train". It stuck and he loves it!

I am not sure who is trying to figure out who here. But it is so cute that Cole is learning to make eye contact.

Hanging out with my Big Cousin Brennen. He loved taking my passie while I was at Nonna's and Aunt Terri had to guard it for me.

Even away from home I have to have my nightly walk! This picutre is all the Palfreeman Family. Terri is my sister-in-law and I have been friends with her since I was in the 10th grade.

This is Cole's favorite Toy! It is a runner jogger. He loves it. Every night after dinner, Jon and I take Cole for a 30 min. walk. It is amazing how soon they learn their schedules! If we are not in the jogger by 8:00 PM evey night the melt down is on.

When Cole was 2 weeks old, My Grandmother Sarratt came to stay with me for a few days. It was wonderful having her here and for her to get to meet Cole.

Cole is my Grandmothers 17th Great Grand Child. My brother is expecting number 18 in late March. Be praying for a little girl!

Cole's favorite time of night is his bath. He loves it. He is not real crazy about getting out of it. He throws a Sarratt-Palfreeman fit!

Cole and His First Cousins

This is Tristen and Jackson, my brother Lee's sons with Cole at my house in Springdale. Tristen is 5 years old and Jackson is 19 months. The boys live in El Paso, TX. They came up and stayed a night with Cole before going over to the Sarratt Family reunion. We had to miss the reunion because of doctors orders but it was great to have the boys meet.

This is Caleb, Brennan, Jon, Mark (Jon's brother), and Pop (Jon's father) with Cole at the hospital. Caleb is 3 1/2 and Brennen is 7 months. They are Mark's boys. They live in Russellville where Mark is the College Pastor for the First Baptist Church.

Cole and His Grandparents-

Dave "Pop" and Shay "Nonna" Palfreeman leave in Russellville just down 540 about a hour and a half. Shay is going to keep Cole for me on Monday's while I do Rotary. Dave is the Farm Bureau Manager in Russellville.

Cole is the 3rd grandson on both mine and Jon's sides of the families. I guess the Palfreeman's and Sarratt's just don't make little girls. I don't mind I wouldn't trade this little boy for anything in the world!

This is my mother Sue "MeMe" Sarratt, she lives in Durant, Ok but Jon and I are on a campaign to get her to move to NWA. We are hoping Cole will help us seal the deal!

Mom came up on Tuesday night before I went into the hospital on Wednesday to have Cole. I don't know what I would have done with out Mom and Shay to help me out after I got home.

This is my father Ronnie "Papa Doc" Sarratt and his wife Kathy. They live in Prosper, TX just five miles up the road from Frisco. Dad works for the Goverment as a Vet and Kathy has recently went back to school to be a courtreporter after many years in the Real Estate business.

My dad and kathy drove up on Thursday night late to welcome Cole.

Cole Greffen Palfreeman was born Thursday, June 22nd at 10:43 AM at Willow Creek Women's Hospital in Springdale. The weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and is 19 3/4 inches long. Courtney and Cole are both doing great. Jon was wonderful helping me through the c-section.

Sue, Kathy, Ronnie, Shay, Dave, Mark, Terri and the boys were all there to help welcome him into the Palfreeman Family. Shay and I took these pictures our first day home from the hospital.

I love this one of him smiling. I have to say he looks just like Jon and all he has on me is my lips and chin.

He is always looking for somthing to eat. When we left the hopsital he had lost some weight but I am happy to say when we went to the check up on Monday, July 3rd he had gained all his weight back! YEAH

Easter at the Palfreemans

On March 25th Melonie and Brian Moore hosted Jon and I a baby shower for Cole. We had a great time. Mom and Shay came up for it and we were surprised by old friends from DeQueen who have known Jon and I for years.

In Feb 06 Jon, Mom and I drove out to Ruidoso, New Mexico to see my brother Lee and his family (Heidi, Tristan, and Jackson). My mothers brother's son Aaron Robertson and his wife Jennifer brought their new baby girl Hannah to meet her cousins.

Everyone had a great time skiing but with my ever growing belly I was on baby sitting patrol!
